I never thought I'd understand
and never thought I'd care.
It's hard for me to comprehend
what's making me so scared.
I know You know I wish I knew
just what my future held;
But grace I know is all I need,
but grace I wish I felt.
My loneliness is far too strong
for any man to bear;
Yet never have I been so wrong
to think You didn't care.
I cast my burdens at Your feet
and kneel before the cross.
Though lover You have held from me
I know I'm never lost.
