Phantom Hungers
Hungrily she awakens
Fresh from a dream last night
Searching frantically
He escapes with morning’s light
Who was this stranger
This phantom of her dreams
Who whispers words so passionate
Painting amid magical moonbeams
Does not her heart leap
When he whispers of his love
Comparing her to Angels
Beautiful mourning doves
Who caresses her softly
With gentle strokes of concern
Igniting within flames of desire
So intensely they burn
“ Hurry back darling phantom “
“ Wistfully she exclaims “
“ Delicious are your hungers “
“ Exquisite your flames “
