Steve, there is heart ache in this haiku, much anxiety and a little
dash of, wondering why. I know exactly how this feels. BUT, I
have learned (the hard way) that it is no good for me to continue
to offer my heart to someone who just doesn't want it. And, I'm
sorry to say, it has also made me slightly bitter and cynical
towards the world.

This makes me sad, but I'm smiling. It's simple and it's truth. It's complicated and the most basic thing. It's amazing. I sincerely wish that I didn't know these same words, but I'm glad to know that someone else speaks them too.
