I'm so relieved, so happy
Tears flooding my eyes, blurring my vision
I have to re-read it over and over to make sure it's right
Does it really say it?
I'd given up...
He'd never be in my life again
It was obvious...
But now, as I stare at the screen, crying
It all proves false
I told you I loved you
In a letter not ment to be sent
Yet it sits in your inbox
I haven't seen you in a month
Haven't held you in my arms, How I miss you
I told you I loved you...
My big mistake
Nearly three months had passed
Without a word
It happened once before
With my only other love
Not a word, cut out of your life forever
I gave up...
You weren't coming back
I would never hear from you again, I knew it
But sitting here I see your message
And I can't help but start shaking
I thought you were gone
I read and reread it
Your apology, your offer
You never read the letter, you'd throw it away if I wanted
You had reasons for not speaking to me in so long
Real reasons, good reasons
I'm so relieved, so very relieved
I tell you to throw it away, and never glance at it
Sure it'd be much easier with all the secrets in the open
But this woke me up
I am not willing to risk something
I can't afford to lose quite yet
