Our Words

Contributed by shelby on Friday, 3rd October 2008 @ 09:34:19 AM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

We gathering our feelings, thoughts and wishes.
Send each other notes or a small verse on the phone.
We can take our inner most secrets and convey
a dancing splash of color upon a blank page.
At times we call it poetry, others we may say a note.
Or it could be a song coming straight from our hearts.
Together we can play, have fun or explore a new world.
Or be serious and to the world our hearts unfurl.
Nights when we are lonely and the tears wanted to fall.
Our special days that found us in our moments in the sun.
Dancing near the oceans edge or bouncing down the road.
Or days a bit amiss while we sit and wait upon a load.
These words we stitch together and soon it becomes complete.
A little bit of babble , soon our poem is planted like a seed.
It has a chance to grow and thrive because our words were felt.
We know where our thoughts were before we went to bed.
Low hum of the motor and we know the world is right.
Thanks for the moments, in which we take time to write.

Again another wonderful and beautiful write! This is inviting and splendid. I think it may be your work that has inspired me to consider trucking again. Poet on the road, and you are an example of how the road can inspire. This was just as fun to read as I am sure it was to write.

Splendid!
