i began reading this poet
a drunk, womanizer
type of poet
he reminds me of me.
a drunker
meaner
grumpier
lonelier
older
wiser
me.
a unique
brand of poetry
he scribes.
usually drunk,
it seems.
his views on life
are jaded
but imaginative
hurtful
lonely
uplifting.
where does he get his
inspiration?
often from booze
women
sadness
life
age.
i like him.

I like the ol', dirty bastit too, may he rest in peace. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but a little of you shines through these words too, I'm sure.
