“I sit within these weary walls,
Dark and stagnant as a ball
Atop a moonlit floor, buried beneath the empty whore;

Merely sitting, waiting for the dreams to fade away,
The life to die, and the world to end.

Waiting.
I wait for you.

As I lay here, upon my bed,
Wondering as time instead
Passes me by, only so I may buy me a fool.

I am a man of wealth,
I am a man of tears, knowledge and fears.
I have seen your lives as no other man.

I am a specter.

Welcome to my world of dreams.
See the things that we may be,
Join us upon our stoop,
We’ll leave you to dance and soon

Drain away a life once seen,
The future is taken from you and me.

Within these walls I rain supreme,
I see my destiny as a dream,
I’ve become was is to see
What human filth remains unseen.

I remain, locked within these walls;
I remain another fool,
I remain the thing to see,
Until the day that you are me.

I sit here, upon this bed
Looking back at a life unsaid,
I wish these days return next time;”

With a stab in the back from fantasy bladed sai,
A deep drain from the weapon in time,
The troubled man mutters his last words to me:

“My dear girl, I’ve loved you always;
It’s just a shame you ended it this way.

Speak the truth, live in truth,
As to deceive is to lie, as death is to the murderer.

I wish you welllll.l..l…….”

From that night forth, neither of us leave the house at night.
Neither of us live at night;
I killed him, cause he knew the truth: but it was cause I didn’t tell him.

I sit here waiting, waiting on his bed.
The life flies thought, living in my head.

I’ve seen you life as he did. I’ve seen you minds as he did.
Now, all I desire in life, is the truth he was denied.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
