I'd cry myself to sleep
But my soul is empty of tears
I haven't felt so alone
In oh so many years
Finally the dam breaks
It is all let free
My insanity escapes
I've lost any sense of meaning
My thoughts rage like a twister
Tearing apart my mind
My tears flow like a river
Threatening to leave me behind
I cant keep going on like this
I just need to run, to scream
I need to wake up
From what can only be described
As a madman's twisted dream

yes, yes, it is the struggle that ails us. But it is a fine accomplishment
to be able to release it with ink. Our emotions can get the best of us, to be
sure; driving us mad with the twists and turns it can take within us in a matter
of moments. You've captured that beautifully here. Well done.

Poetry can be a great natural sedative.
Continue to write and your thoughts will work
themselves out. Lovely work.
