Moon Gazing

Contributed by wizard on Saturday, 27th September 2008 @ 11:22:15 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Moon gazing through a humble frame of four by sixes, wispy clouds and sheer linen, wafting.
The moon in full bloom – dreams flutter, chasing its midnight glow…
so many wishing upon this moon, yet it lends us its exclusive regard.

Old Blue Eyes, Morrison and Marvin all sing their appropriate tunes, as we dream of
summer winds, moon dancing and healing. Salt kissed air streams; imparting salient dreams.
The chambermaid tidying beside us throws an overworked smile.

The brewing storm keeping its distance – flashing.

The bed, obliging…the counterpane cradling our dreams. So out of place on this narrow beach,
spectacular in its solitude; begging us to remain. The ocean rings, ever present and stern.
Breaching waves catch broken dreams, the shore greeting each crash with a smile.

The shadows holding indeed more than mere darkness; so much love has been made here.
Sand cast memories forever held on this glorious beach, ever humble, yet ever proud.
Hissing palms sway, reveling in this undefiled night.

The sky holding a million memories; a million more in queue.

Every love that has been made or sought lies beneath this modest sky, lovers to be – waiting permissively.
And as the sun scorched the day just hours before, so does the moon scorch these hearts,
tonight and evermore.

I remember being in that area and seeing white canopy beds along the beach. We would have sat in one too, except as I recall they wanted to charge us!! LOL
