Pink Elephants

Contributed by ginsdance on Tuesday, 30th July 2002 @ 01:40:26 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Pink elephants dash across the room
Pounding out that ageless tune...
I'm wishing I could pound the elephants.
I know better than to drink a lot
But I never say, "I better not..."
The elephants are laughing at me.
Ugh... groan... splitting headache...
Staring out at the smooth lake
As the elephants make it spin.
Round and Round and Round she goes
Where the lake stops... nobody knows...
The elephants do.
They say to never drink alone...
So I called up my friends on the phone...
Wait... who's the wise guy that brought the elephants?
Hiccup... great... how to hide this...
Wait, I'll be back... I need a list...
Of why elephants don't get hangovers...
Tired, draggy, limbs won't move,
Pink elephants still dancing across the room...
Next time ya'll... don't bring the Pink elephants... maybe blue????

ZZZZ ZZZZ Z ZZZZ ......
