No One To Blame

As I look up at the dark sky,
I sit and wonder why?
Life seems so angry at me.
Feels like the world’s despising me.

I sit and wonder …
Trying hard not to surrender …
My mind reminds me of what I want to forget.
My heart burns with hatred and regret.
Hatred towards myself …
Regret I try to overlook …

I look back at my life,
See the clear stabs of the knife.
A knife that people used …
A knife that I used …
The same knife people stabbed my back with …
The same knife I stabbed myself with …

I look back and realize,
I didn’t prioritize.
I didn’t do what I planned to,
I didn’t do what I should do.
I betrayed myself …

There’s no one to blame but me …
