I died a little again today
As I watched you walk away
Knowing nothing I could say
Could make you turn and smile my way
I don’t know the reason why
But I struggle not to cry
As I hear you say goodbye
And my heart begins to die
Now I sit here all a wonder
At this spell that I am under
While my heart does beat like thunder
And my life is torn asunder
And so I die again today
As I watch you walk away
Knowing nothing I could say
Would make you turn and smile my way
