Beacon

Contributed by NoSaint on Saturday, 20th September 2008 @ 11:05:23 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Life has given challenges
Some small some devastating
Some choose to whine and cry
Their lot in life always debating

Others take on life full force
And stand strong after the storm
They learn and try to make a change
With a heart and smile so warm

Their healing light can be seen
Across even the many ages
And they will write in history
A story that takes many pages

For a beacon to society
These brave people are
Overcoming illness and accidents
Not worrying about a scar

They go about helping others
That is what they live to do
They are a strong beacon to the world
If they enter your life how blessed are you

So when you meet these people
Who carry a healing and wonderful light
Be sure to tell them they are special
And how they made your life more bright

Than go forth through the world
Shining your own unique glow
And you may just help someone
Along this life’s path as you go

Shari, this is spectacular!!!! It reminds me of "Pay It Forward". Such
amazing advice! You have this incredible talent for grasping an idea;
a message; and tearing up the pages with it. It's beautiful to see the fruits
of your labour done so brilliantly, giving us much pause for thought.

Of course, you are right and this is exactly what I would expect from
your heart. A gorgeous write of beauty, honour and love.

Thank you for sharing this. :)

*hugs*

~ Breezy
