Lovers Shade

Contributed by shelby on Saturday, 20th September 2008 @ 02:40:54 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The full of the moon called us out.
To sneak in the shadows dancing on the shore.
Our love cannot be shaded,
We cannot excuse our feelings anymore.

We meet near the base of the rocks.
One look and we are helplessly lost.
Uniting in lust’s simple sighs
Our movements ebb and flow with the tides, within the currents tossed

Our love is not blinded by doubt
For within ourselves we move among earthly shadows
Cast by the moon, piercing a veil of midnight
As the gravity between two souls in the ocean’s mist ever grows

Wrapped up within firelight we lie upon our bed of sand
While lustful eyes look straight into a lover’s soul
And can warm even the coldest of nights
As the church bell upon the hill with the coming hour completes its final toll

We are the sigh in the night, the light breeze in each tree.
Never to be blinded to our love, for it is a gift of eternity.
Our beating hearts flow with the bell on the hill.
We are blessed by our hearts reunion of forever.

Holy heck sweets!! That last line is sensational! You and Rich write so well together.
But of all the ones I've read of your co-writes, this one has to be the most romantic
and damn consuming piece of all! I mean the passion alone in this SCREAMS to be
uncaged. And it is deafening, but in the most pleasurable way.

This is poetry at its best, hun. My silly romantic heart beats wildly with
every word. It washes over me in waves of emotion, drowning every
sense. Too beautiful even for words ~

Stunning, you two!

~ Breezy
