Inches Apart

Contributed by navydocny on Saturday, 20th September 2008 @ 11:42:42 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Nothing ever created such start, as when our hearts were inches apart
We with spider’s tangled limbs, seeking out each other with lustful whims
Hide to hide holding hands, stroking through love’s countless strands
All that’s remembered and all that’s known, every lovely feature, the slightest soupcon
Breathing in each other, years of affection, culminating towards each other’s advection
Who could want the vile love of another, even if all that we’ve wanted is nearly asunder
Getting what you give and giving what you get, our circle of love, without which to fret
My head on your chest I hear you respire, half my life spent with, and still you enfire
Do you still have such thoughts of me, of what there was and yet what can be
I hope for naught but to hold you when, our hearts are inches apart again
