Screen between Us

Contributed by crow on Saturday, 20th September 2008 @ 02:30:03 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

...and what do You want for Christmas,I asked.
I could almost hear Her heart pounding
through the silence.

...closed My eyes...
to late..
could not take it back.

I felt a wish rise like heat shimmers
in a desert waste..
She did not answer back, on the "screen between Us.

....and You? what do You want for Christmas, She asked.
I sat back had one wish, not one came after,
in the silence.

I felt the wish rise..
to late..
could not find the words...
did not answer back, on "the screen between Us.

..In the dulled time
before Sun rises life,
I stepped upon the fresh morning dew..
and answered to quickly...Lane

it's an interesting hook, the way you use hesitation to accommodate the idea of an inconvenient quickness. could it be . . that you wanted the both of you to want the same thing. . . perhaps. . . each other. . . splendid write. elle

My dear friend, Lane,

For some reason a picture of a screen door came to mind
when I read the title. But now I realize you meant the monitor
screen. Ah yes, we sometimes frighten ourselves with our own
thoughts, do we not? Questions we want answers to but are
afraid to answer them ourselves. Sometimes we don't want
to know. Sometimes we just DON"Tknow. ah, life. It's a kick
ain't it? lol

This was a treat. You are human after all. lol Good to know. ;)

~ Breezy
(I've got a lot of compliments on the song. You did
an EXCEPTIONAL job hun. Thank you again!)
