Why Did You

Contributed by Cici on Wednesday, 19th March 2003 @ 01:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Why did you say you love me?
When you’ve clearly shown you don’t
Why do you get my hopes up?
Then throw me back down
Why won’t you speak to me?
I only want to talk to you
Why must you insist on putting me through pain?
You make me cry more tears everyday
Why do you want control over me?
If I don’t matter one bit to you
Why do you like seeing me unhappy?
You’re making me worse all the time
Why are we back where we were?
I thought all that had changed
Why are you being like this?
You are bringing my depression back
Why don’t you want me in your life?
When we are so good together
Why do you say I’ve betrayed you?
When you do the same
Why did you lie about loving me?
When you know I love you more than ever

on a humorous note (i've had one too many ale's this eve), great use of the letter "w"... seriously though... this is a passionate, thought provoking dialogue to one that has hurt you... keep writing it out... blessings...

It's so hard to be the 'giver' in a land full of 'takers'.. you capture the predicament every well.

The scary part of being a giver is the fact that we expect takers to 'give back'.. which. for some.. just isn't part of their being.

Maybe the secret is to find another giving soul who consumes and provides equally? Is it possiible?

You must have written this about the same time as I wrote "Counting tears" but this expresses the sadness so much better. Perhaps being a man I can't really write the womans point of view.
