Writers

Jenni K, Silverain, Breezy, Lovewriter
Shelby, Wizard, Elle, and Spider
There are many others I’ve yet here to mention
To leave them out is not my intention

But it’s their “writes” that I do read
And through my mind their words do speed
For writing you see, is all about the sharing
Of heartache, love, loss, and caring

Where one does help to inspire the other
And from one poem there’ll be another
I write to spill the overflow
My meaning here the others know

Then there are those with certain skill
And wet with tears our eyes may fill
For in the writing, there is in kind
A deep emotion that you’ll find

This is a curse that writers share
An expression in words, now if you dare
And it does not have to be that good
If it vents emotion the way it should

It’s in your soul you’ll feel this surge
A willing, and the right to purge
Just grasp that moment, to write one line
And in the end, it’ll be just fine

Thankyou all

Stephan,

This was lovely. You caught the essence of why we read. To feel,
to experience or just to share. As for writing ... well, that,
I'm afraid is likely very personal to most poets. It's wonderful that
you can understand how much the soul is centred in many poems.
The reader can relate or even apply it to their own circumstance,
situation, life .... but ultimately only the poet knows the true depth
of the piece itself and what its meanings hold.

Thank you so much for the mention. ^_^ There is no acclaim a writer
could appreciate more than for someone to read, understand and
appreciate his/her work. =) This was wonderful.

Dearest Stephan,
I have been on this site for over nine years...friends have come and gone... some have remained....We have shared our lives with each other and I can safely say that the friends and 'family' I have on YPDC know me better than my 'live' family and this is because of the poetry we share.

I am eternally grateful to all and especially to Mick, my dear friend...for creating and maintaining this HOME for us. This was an awesome write and I thank you for your continued support..

Hugs
Jenni

I'll never forget how this site has changed my life jenni, and lady fawn were here when I got here and thus started a long beautifull family that grows as we speak. It's really amazing that Mick does this for us. I call you'll my global family.
huggs, luv, peace, joy, blessings.

By the way an awesome tribute to all poets far and wide
