O Where have the righteous gone?
From the everyday and ordinary
to the heroic and extraordinary
O where have the righteous gone?

A young boy tormented
bullied in the name of fun
some conscience is stirred
yet no one speaks out, not one
O where have the righteous gone?

Young daughters fend for themselves
baring the shame everyday
sympathy may arise
yet no one offers a better way
O where have the righteous gone?

Young children hold their stomachs
living in filth and decadence
hearts begin to break
yet no one spares a couple cents
O where have all the righteous gone?

From the everyday and ordinary
to the heroic and extraordinary
O where have the righteous gone?
