God only knows why.
I've dated countless otheres
And I've wiped the last tear from my eye.
Yet my heartbeat still picks up
When you say my name.
I want you back...
I must be insane
To still want to feel your fingers
Running through my hair
Even though I know it couldn't
Change the way you care.
My heart begging for your
Body next to mine,
Holding eachother close,
Fingers intertwined
As you let your lips
Brush across my forehead...
Our bodies singing that old tune
As you lead me back to bed...
I still love you,
God only knows why,
Because no matter how hard I dream
You are no longer mine.
