Many a Golden Road

Contributed by NoSaint on Tuesday, 16th September 2008 @ 02:02:40 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Crashing waves of yesterdays storms
Wearing away at our souls
Broken promises and dreams thorns
To our spirits puncture holes

But ever forward we go
Dreaming once more a new day
Set backs just a minor stop
As we glide toward a future unsure

The sun always shines after the rain
The grass once more soft and green
The flowers spread for the bees touch
And life once more will be good

For each road block leads us on
To the path we should have taken
And no suffering is ever in vain
Lessons are there for the taking

I refuse to let the bruises of life
Leave me down and broken
For around each twist and turn
My path has many a golden road

Shari this was incredible! It could be a nightly (or even daily) mantra!

So much insight and truth within this. And I love how soft it is.
Do NOT falter in our convictions! For that is what will keep
our hearts hopeful during the more ... uhm ... trying situations.

Great post!
