I knew this girl
She loves to dance
Her laughter is so infectious
While she dances
Nothing else exists
Her eyes sparkle
Troubles go away

I knew this girl
She loves to sing
With passion and feeling
Caring not if it's perfect
It makes her happy
And that's enough
To justify a lullaby

I knew this girl
She enjoys building
Furniture, cars, you name it
Yes, electronics, too
She just loves to learn
Create new things
It awakens her

I knew this girl
She is so full of life
Always busy with something
One day in a kayak
Next day up a mountain side
Walking three miles, no problem
Next day, swimming rapids

Now I know Twenty-nine
Carwrecks arthritis
Medications messing with my system
Dizzy spinning feelings
But they don't feel like dancing
Shaky hands knocking things over
And two feet that never know where they are

As for the girls
Well, I miss them
They all have the same name
With a previous residence in my soul
They will die now
And it is my fault
How do I forgive that?

those girls are still there, residing in your soul, there is nothing to forgive, they are not dying they are resting on the shelf, they will return, along with those dancing feet...

What a super metaphor! This ones got me with tears in my eyes. Very emotive. But I don't think it's her fault. Things happen to people. That's just the way life is. Life has a way of throwing a hard ball at us and sometimes...we just can't get out of the way. Hopefully it will get better.

*more huge than huge hug*

Sweet girl, I agree with Nessa. Those girls ARE still there and they
love you as much as you love them. You think they would leave you? BAH!
silly girl! The only fault here is that you are human (and DEEPLY so), and
have the most beautiful emotion about you. THAT is what I see
shining through the most in this write. It's your compassion, empathy,
understanding, and love, but mostly it is your beauty that I see.

You have failed no one sweetheart, least of all yourself! Put the
faith you afford for others into yourself and you can do GREAT things!

always, lots of hugs, peace and love,

~ Breezy
