there are questions i will not ask now
time to bite my tongue
to speak of this
this could lead to lies
and fights and tears
and i am too tired
you're hiding what you think i cannot see
and i'm hurting in silence for your secrecy
why begs my lips to part
and utter it aloud
but maybe the answers you could give
are worse, moreso,
than my vivid thoughts
there are questions i just can't ask
there are things i will not hear
there are reasons you will not give
there are too many things unmentioned
and better left unsaid.
