Our Beauty Was Questioned.

You and I,
We found our song,
In the voices of our own choir,
Singing out of tune..
Our flame has frozen solid,
But still it burns my strength into ashes,
And my weakness leaks onto your hands,
As you slowly touch my lips,
You whisper your serene words..
"You are pure, you are filth..
You are divine, you are dust..
You are death, I am you.."
We danced away in blind compassion.
We held hands, tightly embracing each other,
In our mislead passion, we screamed our song.
We shared beauty, we traded our warmth,
We gave our smiles, for a moment of sin.
While I cried, you sang in ashes,
Your song grew stronger
In the eyes of our smiling victims..
Darkness surrounded your art,
We both drowned in the wasteland,
We both lost our beauty..
