another state of mind

Contributed by ladyfawn on Friday, 5th September 2008 @ 02:14:13 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

~*~
im in another state of mind, for i cannot find my own
some place in the heart blown, living in a new zone
its a fine line giving up peace of mind, ah sweet time

i want to love once more, and walk that line- but:
you know what they say about a snowballs chance
its alright i still remember my truelove and that dance

i can close my eyes and jump right in trance

no my life has taken a turn, alone day and night
sometimes this place i go is deep, dark, desolate
my one ordered up vacation from reality so stark

once upon a lifetime were wishes, hopes, dreams
time for living roared ahead; now i'm empty it seems
i do not want to get up, nor do i want to go outside

where grass grows high and animals are kind

but i have to buy groceries, even if but for me
i'm on top of this mountain, cannot fish in the sea
people want me to move, give up on my home

going to have to say thank-you but no thanx you see
because this forest has become the very heart of me
perhaps i am alone and loosing my mind; yet

i just want to hide in this new state of mind

I really do love this and can relate on so many levels ... for me I would love to join you on that mountain. Some how I think I could find peace and serenity where here I cannot.

Thank you for sharing.

Peace

Girlfriend,
You are much stronger than you realize. I know I've said this before but I can't imagene
How you've came this far with all you've had to deal with in life. Just know they will always be with you and watching over you as your guardian angels.
Where you live is up to you.
Folks wonder how I stay here on the place I was raised up with my parents deceased but it's home and wild horses can't drive me away.
Only you and God knows what's best for you.
Hang tuff, friend and I'm always here for you, anytime.
Luv, bigg huggs, prayer,
emy

Nessa, this is lovely and so painful all at once. I adore the last
line. It begs to be alone. I love how you singled out certain thoughts
from the stanzas. It gives them a little more credence and power.

I wish like hell you were not going through such harsh difficulties.
(Though your poetry has not suffered for it - small conciliation,
I know). But wow! A new state of mind may be just what is
necessary to continue, you know? This is actually inspirational in
a way.

Love this! I think the best thing right now is not for you to be happy,
or be sad, or be good, or be safe or ANYTHING, really. Just BE.

*hugs and roses*

half this is true..half I`m having fun with you.

Your state of mind is just fine Nessa. Stay atop your mountain and survey the world around you. Enjoy the beauty that you see as it is a reflection of what your friends know you to be.

Peace my friend, sometimes we are left solitary to find the wonder we hold within...once we find that light we shine for the whole world to see...I am looking forward to seeing that light gleaming from that mountain top...I am but a pm away if you need to talk

This time you broke my heart. I have no deep words. I don't think you should move unless you want. People have opinions and they mean well. but your heart knows what it needs right now.

ahhh 'another state of mind' is something different, something sad, yet oddly slow and quiet. i guess this is a sweet escape from harsh reality, as if ur mind is nonexistent which is better than feeling pain. I sometimes say "I'd rather have nothing than something" and i feel that applies here with ur poem. i should put that as my quote like u do with ur messages haha. again nice write. take care

that state of mind gives you the perfect scope to see life for what it is. For on top of mountains you will be like an angel see afar and be prepared for the what's coming.

good write Ness.
I love It

human mind might let you think you are going mad just to harness it with a pen and paper

Great way to wrap it up at the end. Grief is an individual thing and no one feels it like you do. You know where you need to be, the reasons why are yours alone.

This:

Some place in the heart blown,

I know that isn't the full line, but I am so stuck on that part. Made my heart cry, friend. Hugs to you.
