Why am I alive.

Contributed by damien on Tuesday, 18th March 2003 @ 11:25:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I wanna go from alive and kicking to non-existant,
I don't wanna live no more feeling out of place like a mutant.
I wanna step out of this shell forever and see,
whether you still would be able to recognize me,
coz all that would be left after I step out,
would be a body which is of heart and soul devoid.
Never did I want to lead a meaningless life,
for which with blood and sweat I have to strive.
All this hard work, would in the end amount to what?
A 7x4 piece of land in some burial lot.
What are you doing with this life that you cherish?
I don't see the difference between now and when I'll perish.

I wonder what can have happened to you to make you feel this way. Try to stay positive and remember that if things are as bad as they have ever been - things can only get better.

Its not that anythings happened to make me feel this way. In fact life's always been pretty good and off late , it could'nt be better. It's just that I don't understand the purpose behind it. Anyway THANK YOU very much for your encouragement-Damien.

Damien, I'm glad I finally found time to look for your home page. Your question is so important. This is a feeling of spiritual emptiness, of not being complete. We have to feel uncomfortable with the way we are before we are interested in looking for a better way to live. I believe you have to look to God for the answer to a higher purpose of life. Ask God to show you the way. Whatever He has created you for will be what gives you the greater satisfaction with your life in the long term, though it may be difficult. Bizzy
