How sad do you think it is,
For the youth to feel so listless?
How pathetic do you consider it,
When dreams are thought not to exist?

The feeling returns
That I thought was dead
The memories burn
And scars remain in my head

Do you mind me telling the story?
Do you mind me filling in the blanks?
Do you mind that I am talking?
Do you mind me correcting the facts?

It's amazing isn't it?
How this bulk can be transparent
I assume this since you don't notice it
Therefore not that it's malignant

The searing returns
A fool would think it's razed
The clean metal burns
In hope memories would fade

So if you do see me standing here
Do you see anything out of place?
Do you see a girl very frail and fair?
Or see that it's a waste of space
