This man's holding a sign
at the crosswalk that states something
along the lines of "I hate Mary.
I hate Joseph. Why them
as the perfect Christian couple?
Why not me
and my TV?"
He's like that Aussie who
decided to marry his flat screen—
at least I assume it's not an old Sanyo or
one of the younger HDTVs;
he'd probably want the port to be his age.
I can't help but try
to answer his heretical questions that
jerk around with my Catholic soul;
talk along the lines of, "Does God
live in the TV? Can Jesus be born
from a womb of circuitry?"
Then again, I am one to talk;
I wear a wedding ring and
so does my Dick:
my wonderful Larry. But,
we clearly love each other and
much more so than this heretic's
TV reception. It can't even pick up
the morning news at eleven.
But, what's more a disgrace? Me
and my Larry having to wed in Canada,
or some guy on the street
who preaches Mecha
and embraces his box inside closed doors?
I'd say they're both just as bad or
blurry when displayed on the screen.
