Poison Of My Demise.

Contributed by bleedthelove on Tuesday, 26th August 2008 @ 09:44:06 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The love inside of me has to proven to be my own demise
So I roam this world with shards of glass inside my eyes
Because if I can't see you then I don't want to see anything at all
It's like I'm stumbling on the edge just hoping to fall
A million miles away from the beat of my own breaking heart
Because I don't want to exist if existing means being apart
Cold to the touch, my skin bares a pale shade of blue
Each and every breath brings me closer to death
Because it's killing me to breathe without you
As the contingencies of another day begin to unfold
There's no point in holding on anymore
If it's not your hand I get to hold
Everything just feels so obsolete
So undefined and incomplete
You were the only beautiful aspect of life I ever knew
And without you there's nothing
Absolutely nothing to pull me through
You've always been my single most important thought
And I've come across a million different people in my life
But your the only one I haven't forgot
This love I have for you is something beyond words
It molds my existance and defines my purpose
And I only wish you that you could see past the surface
Because all that is relevant in this life rests beneath my skin
I will forever be bound by the love I carry within
Held hostage by my own devotion
I am poisoned with a thousand emotions
Each one representing you
Razorblades to my heart
Watch yourself come pouring through
Understand there's nothing else that I can do
As the days continue to drag on and on
I'm just going to keep running blind under vacant skies
Drowning in this love...
The poison of my demise.

D A M N !!!!

What an incredible write!!! OMG, there is an agony in this that hurts to read. It's like you
tore open your chest and REALLY DID BLEED LOVE out onto the page. The longing, the
need, the ache of absence, the BEAUTIFUL PAIN. It is never ending, n'est pas? I am
so fully in love with this piece. You trapped the torture it is to be forced to endure a
heartache day after pain-filled day and you somehow managed to force it to the page
so we too, could experience that! Well done poet!!

I think of all the emotions that we as humans experience, love is the one we want
DESPERATELY to conquer, but at the same time, know FULL WELL, we never shall.

Amazing work! Your closing line is tremendous!

~ Breezy

Dayyyyuuummm! I agree with Breezy, you really did bleed the love out into this poem. This is the MOST beautiful thing I've ever read. I actually have tears in my eyes!!

Peace

JJ
