LoveRemembered

Walking alone I see parts of my past
See the path that forced me to run
Close my eyes, hope it doesn't last
Open them with hope for the sun
Blink desperately, looking for her face
Closed in a breath of sudden desperation
I can't go back, not to that place
No goodbye, no sad salutation
Slowly my footprints are covered back up
No evidence anyone was ever here
No one to know my heart full of fear
My pain washed away in subtle defeat
The past forces me now into a hateful submission
No longer against hate could I stand on my feet
A white little rabbit, pulled by a magician
Controlled by others, but in ignorant bliss
Never standing up for what is right
Not for once thinking something was amiss
Not letting yourself see the light
Back on this path, cold and alone
No idea where it leads, destination unknown
