My dear child,
You are the reason I breathe…
A new meaning to the word love,
A new reason to be…
So perfect and precious,
In every little way…
I look at you in amazement,
Each and every day…
A part of me,
And your father combined…
No greater gift,
Could I ever find…
I hope to be strong,
In your times of need…
I pray to be patient,
To the path you choose to lead.
These moments I treasure,
As they will soon pass me by…
Holding on tightly,
To the innocence in your eyes…
Dearest little Jake,
You have brought me light…
Changing my perspective,
On every part of my life…
