The Purgatory

This is the purgatory,
We spew out all that is distasteful, temporary.
Purge the surge of urges
Grief flows in the laboratory
It is milky, a livid white.
Throbbing with the warmth of the light,
They contain the chunky mass mess
You were lucky to purge this kryptonite.
It would have been caught
Corroding the tubes so your brains stalled
From having the last connection,
Of nerve and the hole in your throat restored.
They came in torrents wanting to swallow you,
Engulf your postivity and your pearl dew.
Annihilating decades like they were seconds of memories
Black bags, oh wish there were some, to collect the refuse.
Loss is the control and the looming distance,
So the last sanity, hangs like sparse strands.
And you try, I try, and we are grappling with the issue of grief over nothing,
Try to make sense of the dense, but all is nonsense.
Feast, oh EAT!
Lose the muscular instrument that drums when you're hooked, admit defeat.
Because now there's no perpetrator,no pain,no person
To blame for cause of affliction, you're arid.
This is your own struggle to breathe
This is the purgatory you cannot leave
They tear tear tear you beyond basic repair.
It is too late to even pause for a reprieve.
