war

In the wake of battle
in the shadows of remorse
a knight weilds a golden blade
while astride his picturesque horse.
The sun was hidden
veild by hazy mist
and the approaching enemy was silent
as the warning of a python’s hiss.
The battle cry was strident
and the fervent army advanced
and soon the evening became
a sword’s cherished dance.
Blood was incessantly spilled
and lives were ceaselessly lost
but war among the men continued
no matter the cost.
No side was victor
when it came time to end
and all were incensed
until they dared to meet again.
