Desert Magic

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I went to this place
in the desert high
i seen your beauty from a distance
so i stopped
listened to your silence
I see your gates and run down buildings
I wonder how you looked at birth
so many enjoyed you
children left you thier hearts
i look around
i see thier fun and games
the joy you had letting them play
so sad, your time
short lived in all the joys they had
even now
you give me visions
ghosts of the past
return for a visit
what i saw i will never tell
a promise i made to you
forever in your hell
you will be wiped clean
your memory will remain
in our hearts the magic land will stay

Oh my this is R O M A N T I C !!! I adored this piece. It filled my soul with so much
more than emotion, as if speaking directly to me. Magnificent descriptions here!
I hate to deline but DAMN! These two are so ultimately poetic I had to mention them ..

"listened to your silence"

and

"children left you their hearts"

oh my! I am speechless and breathless at once. This is breathing poetry. It lives
from the moment you set words to page, mingling and lingering in the air of
your pen. Damn fine. A new favourite of mine! :D

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
