You can choose to live your life anyway you want to.
You can choose to be quiet and reserved, or you can choose to be loud and frenzied.
Is it a crime to ignore the latter and follow a more solitary life? ..I think not
For this is my decision. I want to be more reserved, but recognized.
I want to free my mind and not follow these imaginary rules.
What ever I do, I get critised. I get critised for not following lifes conformities. I get critised for not drinking, for not making stupid sexist jokes, for being someone I am not.
I was a fool to give in, I was a fool to apologize. Is it so hard to distance oneself from these delinquents?
They scare me, they threaten me, they insult me. Paranoid thoughts rush through my head, but what can I do?
"Rise above them!" I hear, "outsmart them!" they say, but can that really do me any good?
Can that really destroy the paranoia rushing through my veins?
No. Life carries on, but so does escapism, so does escapism..
