You Liar! You Cheater!
Everything you say
Is meaningless Theater!
As you smile at me every day
And tell me what I mean to you
But your eyes look through
And I can see the truth:
I don't mean anything to you.

Tears that finally taste real.
Pain that I can finally feel.
Emotions that you can not steal.
I just wanted you to love me.
But I realize that even that was a lie.
As your laughter echoes to my ears
It's all I have left as I start to cry

Your smile made my breath catch
Your eyes made my heart skip
Always tried to look my best
But one look from you, made me trip.
Over my tongue, over my feet
Doing my best just to keep
Your eyes on me.

this is really sad... and sometimes these insecurities cannot be fixed by the acceptance of anybody else but it's in your own character that is needing work. you had a good flow throughout the piece and really captured a feeling everyone has at some point or another of doubt in another person in their life and the insecurity of whether their they are genuine or not.. thanks for posting!
