Desert Rain

Contributed by ingeniusidiot on Wednesday, 13th August 2008 @ 09:45:04 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Desert rain
So precious and so pure
As it falls upon the earth’s parched lips
Reviving a weary traveler as he does wander

Hitting the ground leaving a darkened stain
For an ailment finding an immortal cure
Like from a fountain of youth only taking a few sips
As through countless childhood memories he begins to ponder

Desert rain
So precious and so divine
Bringing life back to the dying soul
Before the might crags reaching into the skies

Washing away the remnants of yesterday, the dust and the pain
Like the might mighty gates of Heaven, he stands and waits in line
The burning sun and heavy burden took their final toll
Entering among the angels, his eyes will shed no more tears and his ears shall hear no more cries.
