In The Next
The winter snows have melted away
And left us to this summer’s day
As we now bask in the season’s sun
So soon it’s started it will be done
To tell me that you love me so
And have not the strength to let it go
It’s from this life; we’ll grab all we can
I crave the soft touch of your hand
And not withstanding external change
We’re enclosed together just the same
I’ll forever hold you in my heart
It’s so hard to breathe when we’re apart
If time would just once be our friend
And allow a little bit more to spend
This is beyond so much of this
Beyond the subconscious, consciousness
But if in the next, it should come about
We’ll pray that God will help us out
And grant us this request we ask
In hopes, it’s not too great a task
