I have lost myself in thought

I have lost myself in thought

This evening,

our sister came to our home with our brother-in-law,

they invited me and our son to have dinner outside,

I politely turned down their invitation,

they paused for an instant......

Our sister said to me,

she troubled to ask whether I needed help.

"Thanks,

Everything is fine with me,

here is no need for you to be concerned."

I smiled.

Our sister enfolded our son in an affectionate embrace,

"If you have any problem,

please let me know,

we will do our best."

I smiled,

"Thank you.

That will be fine,

I will."

When they were leaving for dinner,

our sister told me,

you will be back in day or two,

you phoned her for coming to see me,

you told her you were very worried about me.

"How hope he can find a job around our home!"

I was forced to swallow my words.

"Oh,

I forget to tell you,

my friend told me my young brother is the greatest salesperson.

In a word,

his achievements are very great."

When they said Good-Bye to us,

I told our sister,

if you phone her again,

pleased told you not to worry us,

I waved to them with our son,

and again I said thanks......

After they went away,

our son was playing with his toys.

I stood at the window,

opened the shutter to see how the weather was.

A dark sky overhanged the earth,

it would rain,

I had lost myself in thought again......

The worry...and also Pride? can be felt throughout this piece.
I hope all is well with you!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
