ill carry on alone

I’ve fallen apart
My heart resting in a million pieces
Hope just a rumor
Haunted by every memory
And ill never trust again
My only friend I find in me
Push this life away
Ill carry on alone
Nothings going to change
Stitching the wound
So I can finely let go
Fake the laughter
Past on smile
All just for show
But there nothing left
No reason to see this through
With burdens of regret
Ill crawl inside the emptiness
This void in my chest
So afraid feel
I’ll never open myself again that way
Never put my faith in another
ill make a path just my own
where i can carry on alone

i see that trust has stabbed u in the back. indeed, no one can ever be trusted, no matter what, u must always hav ur guard, and i've learned that the hard way. a poem of mine "Mistrust Trust" conveys same theme. take care

Trust is the brightest blade that cuts the deepest. The trick is to find the courage to take up that blade again. Very moving write.
Be well,
