I know times haven't been the best lately
I don't blame you for feeling like you hate me.
I lie on my bed of nails, and the pain sinks in
the pain that you're gone and so is the love within.
Everything we went through
and all the fights we battled.
They come back to life
to my life
and you don't.

I'm going through a tough break up and something in this piece evoked my emotions... which means you succeeded in the purpose of poetry... well done. this is thoughtfully written and painfully real.
