why were we so young and naive?
we both knew where this was going...
i doubt i'll ever see you again
neither of us wanted it to end
now it's too late, too late for regret
both you and i did this
you and i reaped this
now we must close our eyes
let the memories die
it's what we both deserve
now it's too late, too late to forget
neither of us had control over this
you and i tried to stop it
now we must leave what we sewed
we've to forget growing old
do we really deserve this?
we didnt have to be young or naive
we knew all along what was happening
it was what he allowed
we'll see again a long time from now

Young & naive. Yet, knowledgeable... We've all been there.
"we'll see again a long time from now"
I liked this poem it possess truth and sadness. Good work.
