Be Still Oh Heart

Contributed by ingeniusidiot on Tuesday, 5th August 2008 @ 04:24:41 AM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Be still oh heart, heavy laden
With confusion ripping at its seams
Where is the rock and firm foundation
To sustain life’s rocks and mighty waves

We lay awake in the depths of darkness
Where shadows trace the walls
Begging for love to hear our pleas
A truce to our hollow shells

Be still oh heart, thou that is heaven bound
Seek not thy answers upon this earth but in the blood of thy salvation
Within this heart lies the foundation, the solid rock
That replenishes the burdened soul

Within the cloak of darkness the Word of God lights thy path
The shadows bid thee welcome but threaten not
With loving ears pleas have been heard and answered
For there has been no truce between mortal skin and the eternal soul

2008

Rich,
this turned out so well. We can write on every realm and topic I think. We stroll down the dark road, find the light, revel in romance and everything in between.

This turned out lovely and thanks so much for writing with me again.

Hugssssss
Michelle

Yes, I believe you two can make magic
with words together. I love this stanza

We lay awake in the depths of darkness
Where shadows trace the walls
Begging for love to hear our pleas
A truce to our hollow shells

Just perfect........Mike
