Here, this is my heavy heart on the counter
Do you see how it weighs,
leave a dull aching dent on your table.
Do you smell
the sour odour stench that stain the very corners of your nostrils
circling in tendrils
leaving you faint and cold.
You heard the low mourn of pain
the deep growl proclaimation of my craziness
but you left me sitting by myself.
you think I could heal thus.
So I painted my heart black
I painted it.
Had I not, soot the soot
would have tainted it a dull grey
fungus grow.
I'll not let it rot.
Though the pain unbearable makes me tear
I will not submit to the weakness of humanity,
In fact I wish to abandon my own humanity
to be rid of this pain,
dull reminder of my own inferiority.
The desire for someone to melt the hardness in me
dingy dull inside.
longing for long warm arms.
wrap round and explain the warmth in humanity I could not see.
But nothingness stays.
