Shadows of a forgotten life
Reflected in shards of glass
My heart still bears the marks
This sorrow shall not pass
Only in dreams can I again be whole
But for now the music sustains me
In this desolate wasteland no one can console
I cannot be free
Inside my heart there is no sun
No happiness, no relief
No one will come
I‘ve lost myself in my grief
I can never find myself again
There is none of me left
I have no hope in men
Of my heart I am bereft
I am afraid to die and afraid to live
I am nothing
Of fear I am captive
My soul is aching
What will become of me? I do not know
Perhaps I will become a shadow
Only in my dreams can I find love
I’ve been forsaken by those who live above
This has dragged on for far too long
But I have no choice
I am not strong
No one can hear my voice
I wish I was not me
I want to start over but that’s not possible
Sadness is all I can see
I can’t go on like this, I’m miserable
I want to be lost in my dreams
To not wake up in this cruel reality
Where no one hears my screams
They all pass me by blindly
No on reaches out their hand, No one cares
I’m so tired in my heart
And as loneliness ensnares
All that’s left of me will depart
I will pass into nothingness
And become a shadow
They believe they are blameless
There is so much they do not know
The sorrow in my soul shall never depart
It sucks me dry and feeds off me
This life has broken my heart
I wish someone would set me free
Of these chains that bind me…..

This is so darn sad. It seems many are feeling lost and hopeless these days.

Sad Sad piece. I can feel the anguish. Though it is a desolate wasteland, there sprouts a single flower from the earth. That flower will grow and be beautiful. Blooming in full glory for the world to see.
