The way I love you

Topic: LovePoetry

I love how ticklish you are
and all the ways you smell.
I don't want to see us apart,
so this I need to tell.

I love the way you call me doll,
along with your other names for me.
To my knees I am sure to fall
if you were to ever set me free.

I love that look you tend to get,
after I kiss you then back away.
When you haven't opened your eyes yet,
through silence I want to say.

I love every way you kiss me
and the way you hold me tight.
I'm sure without you, I couldn't be;
Although, I'd try with all my might.

I love when we're laying bed
and all I can hear is your heart.
I love the way you kiss my head,
but all of this is just a start.

I love how gentle your touch is
when your arms are wrapped around me.
I know that I can survive this
because it's your face that I see.

I love how you touch my face,
it makes me feel safe and warm.
I love that you make my heart race;
I feel like I will be done no harm.

I love the way you look into my eyes
as if you're trying to read my mind.
I know I don't have to worry about lies,
because truth is all that I ever find.

I love all the little games we play
and how you make me laugh out loud.
I really don't know what else to say;
except that with you, I would be proud.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
