Hemicrania consumes the right hemisphere,
a blockade of pain obstructing thought.
Incessant, pulsing veins like a miners pick,
tick, tick, tick as the chip away my ideas.
Ceaseless pounding drums drown all hope
of hearing myself in this whiteashed dome
and though I'm home this irksome sliver in my skull reminds me of things
it can't find
