The never ending circle

I look down the road of loneliness,
Where I see death and despair,
I look down the road of happiness,
And I see life and awakening,
Which road do I chose,
The emptiness dwells at my heels,
I chose to go down happiness,
And try what never was in my life before,
I can feel the road behind me crumbling,
I can hear the memories fading,
I suddenly realize that it was a dream,
I can't remember anything,
Its as though time has been earased,
I suddenly realize I am happy,
And feel no disgrace,
I am free from pain,
And there is no one to hold me down...
I am gone alive, free, happy,
And everything in between.

Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
