Wipe those tears away little child
You’ll soon see her again
She may be lost somewhere
But she’s more than an ordinary friend
She’s someone to play fun games with
Like goldfish and hide-and-go seek
She’s a very special friend that you can never hear coming
Because whenever she finds you hiding, the floor boards never creak
She loves sassafras tea
And plays fun dress up games
And she doesn’t even care that you call her silly names
The reason why you don’t see
Is because you have grown
You may not have realized it
Because it hasn’t shown
You grown up in a way that she is needed
No more
For she was your imaginary friend

Aw, this is really cool. I can't believe there isn't even one comment on this poem. That is sad because it's a very special poem and a very good story. I'd say it's a sweet story but guys don't use that word. :P Oops, there I did it.
Ya know what? I say if she wants to keep that imaginery friend in her life, it doesn't matter if she was grown up. Keep the friend. Imaginery or not, good friends are sometimes hard to come by.
