An end-glade dove

Contributed by iodinelove on Monday, 28th July 2008 @ 01:41:46 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

What have we become, a maudlin declaration of love written fancifully, inhibited by our own self-deceptions, unable to flow freely, as a sea condemned to darkness by the very depths of its own being?

Uninspired love is the truest love.

Constantly, my thoughts deny me, constant is the time before me, age is my adversary, my heart grows weak within me, and I am afraid of tears.

Let love fall free, an end-glade dove stirring in the dusk, bowing wings over the dying leaves of oaken lieges, uninspired and in spite of unconvincing winds stirring iron feathers to assuage the soft, low kisses departing from our dreams.

Stain and sadness slip into my thoughts. The words compel disparity and a longing for something better—a better sense of justice, more knowledge, a higher diction—something worth writing for.

I remember forever the love I have had, and leave in disregard the unfamiliar heart that beats wildly at my visage, and trembles awkwardly at my arrival, yearning for an inculpable touch, or for the moment dreamed to rise up and spring love forward into the husky dawn of a still and separate peace.

As ever, Abraham, your words defy expectation. Some of the images here got to me as very little has in months.
